Overview
TQ-Group's TQMa95xxLA is a plug-in computer-on-module built on the NXP i.MX 95 application processor family in a 44 x 44 mm, 360-pin 1.9 mm-pitch LGA package. It is the module that makes i.MX 95 accessible to German-style industrial design flows: TQ supplies the module, the evaluation carrier and a board-support package, so a product team integrates a qualified core rather than designing one.
The appeal of i.MX 95 here is the arithmetic behind the interfaces. Alongside four or six Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz, the SoC integrates an NPU rated at 2 TOPS and, on the TQMa9596LA-AA variant, an ISP for machine-vision pipelines. Cortex-M33 and Cortex-M7 co-processors handle real-time control and secure-boot duties. Memory tops out at 16 GB of LPDDR5 and 256 GB of eMMC, with a 10 Gigabit TSN Ethernet port plus two Gigabit TSN ports, two PCIe 3.0 lanes, five CAN FD channels and eight UARTs available to the carrier board.
Typical module power is 6 W, and the standard -25 C to +85 C rating extends to -40 C to +85 C for outdoor and vehicle deployments. The STKa95xxLA-AA starter kit bundles the hexa-core TQMa9596LA-AA with 10 GbE SFP+, dual Gigabit Ethernet, CAN FD, RS485, dual M.2 slots and 24 V digital I/O so a design can be validated before committing to a carrier layout. QS Compute supplies the module, starter kit and MBA carrier platforms; contact us with your core count, memory and temperature-grade requirements.
Key Benefits
2 TOPS NPU on-module. Machine-vision and inference at 6 W typical without an external accelerator. 10 Gigabit plus dual TSN Ethernet. Time-sensitive networking built into the SoC, not bolted on. Industrial temperature, plug-in form. 360-pin LGA rated to -40 C to +85 C extended, with Cortex-M33 / M7 for real-time safety duties.
Applications
Industrial HMI and control panels, machine vision and inspection with the integrated ISP, IoT and edge gateways, medical devices, building automation, transport and vehicle electronics, and any application needing real-time co-processing alongside an application-class Arm core.
