The IcyDock CP055 packs eight M.2 NVMe SSDs into a single 5.25-inch bay as a swappable backplane cage. IcyDock positions it as its most compact way to get a large amount of ultra-fast M.2 NVMe storage into one bay.
It is a natural fit where chassis space is the limiting factor but the workload still needs many NVMe drives, and where M.2 modules - rather than U.2 or EDSFF - are the preferred media.
