Overview
The IcyDock ToughArmor MB720M2K-B is the ruggedized member of IcyDock's M.2 mobile-rack family: a full-metal enclosure holding four M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs in removable caddies, with each bay routed to the host over Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) at up to 64 Gbps.
Because the caddies are removable and the shell is metal, the MB720M2K-B is intended for the workloads IcyDock describes as enterprise-class: dense M.2 NVMe capacity that has to be physically serviceable and mechanically robust rather than soldered to the board.
