Overview
QuadHead2Go takes a completely different approach to video walls than a graphics card: instead of rendering four outputs from the host, it accepts one 4K DisplayPort or HDMI input and splits it into four HDMI outputs, so any source — a media player, an NVR output, a laptop or a digital signage player — becomes a four-display wall driver without graphics reconfiguration.
The Q185 appliance is a fanless standalone box drawing 15 W, with 1 GB of memory, 2x2, 4x1, 3x1, 2x1, 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4 configurations in landscape or portrait, plus support for non-rectangular and artistic layouts. Output rotation in 90, 180 and 270 degrees, bezel management, scaling and cropping are handled on-board, and Matrox PowerWall software configures the installation.
Because the input side sees a single standard 4K signal, QuadHead2Go is a low-risk way to add multi-display outputs to existing equipment — useful in retail, corporate lobbies, control rooms and public spaces where the source device cannot be changed.
Key Benefits
No host graphics changes required — any 4K source becomes a four-display wall. Fanless 15 W operation and a compact enclosure allow mounting behind displays with the VESA bracket. Flexible layouts including non-rectangular and artistic walls plus 90/180/270-degree rotation. Bezel management and on-board scaling, cropping and audio extraction keep the installation tidy, and the optional rack-mount and secure-cable accessories suit commercial deployments.
Applications
Digital signage networks and retail displays, corporate lobbies and dashboards, control-room auxiliary walls, houses of worship, education and public-space video walls, and multi-screen installations built on existing media players or NVR systems.
