Overview
IDS Imaging Development Systems brought new camera platforms spanning conventional imaging, event-based vision, 3D sensing, AI and embedded applications to VISION 2026. The uEye Live family of monitoring cameras performs real-time editing, processing, filtering and evaluation of image data directly on the camera.
The uEye Live models (SCP, SLE and SFA) stream H.264 and MJPEG over RTSP and support event-triggered recording, so a triggered event can be reviewed along with the footage that led up to it. Neural-network processing moves closer to the camera, reducing the data sent to a central computer and enabling faster local decisions.
The uEye 3D Nion is the first 3D camera developed in-house by IDS and provides a cost-effective entry into 3D data acquisition. It combines a 1.2 MP sensor at 30 fps — around 36 million 3D points per second — with stable 940 nm illumination and an IP67 aluminium housing, delivering depth precision in motion and in challenging lighting.
Key Benefits
Sensing and local processing on the camera. The uEye Live line turns an industrial camera into a self-contained monitoring and inference device, while the Nion brings high-resolution iToF 3D to a rugged, cost-effective platform — both reducing the load on a central vision computer.
Applications
Process and machine monitoring, event review, quality control, robot guidance and bin picking, logistics and material handling, motion analysis and rehabilitation, and outdoor 3D perception.
