Overview
The Motivair MCDU-45 is a row-based, liquid-to-liquid coolant distribution unit (CDU) rated at 1.9 MW of cooling capacity, part of the Schneider Electric Motivair MCDU family. The MCDU ladder spans 102 kW at the smallest single-rack unit up to 2.7 MW for the flagship MCDU-55, so a single CDU can be matched to the density of the racks it serves.
As accelerator racks move past 120 kW per cabinet, air cooling is no longer viable. The MCDU-45 delivers the flow and pressure for direct-to-chip cold-plate loops feeding GB200/GB300 NVL72-class systems, and shares the common control platform used across the MCDU line so a mix of MCDU models can be managed as one fleet.
