Overview
The Advantech ASMB-808 is a CEB-format workstation motherboard built to put Intel Xeon 600 workstation processors and serious multi-GPU expansion into a locally deployable system. A single Xeon 690/670/650/630 socket runs at up to 350 W on the W890 chipset, fed by eight DDR5 RDIMM slots supporting up to 2 TB at 6400 MT/s with MRDIMM support — memory capacity that matters because the LLM and simulation workloads this board targets hit memory walls before they hit compute walls.
The expansion layout is the point of the product: seven PCIe Gen5 x16 slots support up to four full-height, full-length dual-slot GPUs, with two additional MCIO Gen5 x8 connectors for further PCIe or NVMe storage. Advantech validates the board with the HPC-7485 4U chassis and a 2000 W supply, an example configuration running up to four Intel Arc Pro B70 workstation GPUs at 32 GB of GDDR6 each. Storage covers eight SATA ports and two M.2 connectors for local NVMe.
