The AIMB-787 is Advantech's flagship industrial ATX board for compute-intensive edge applications. Its R680E chipset brings enterprise-class reliability with ECC-like memory error containment and vPro remote management. QS Compute deploys the AIMB-787 in AOI (automated optical inspection) stations, where the PCIe Gen5 x16 slot drives an NVIDIA RTX A4500 GPU for real-time defect classification at 30 FPS on 25 MPixel CMOS sensors. With dual 2.5GbE, the board simultaneously streams uncompressed inspection data to the factory MES and responds to PLC handshake triggers over RS-485 with jitter under 50 µs.
