The Marvell Bravera SC6 (MV-SF1410) is a PCIe Gen6 NVMe SSD controller engineered for the next generation of AI-driven enterprise storage. Announced at FMS 2026, it combines a PCIe 6.0 x4 host interface (up to 30.25 GB/s throughput) with NVMe 2.2 compliance and support for high-speed NAND flash, enabling SSD vendors to build drives that finally saturate the Gen6 interface after years of controller delays.
At its core, the Bravera SC6 packs 15 Arm processor cores — 12 Cortex-R82 cores arranged in two six-core clusters for parallel storage management, three Cortex-M7 cores, and a dedicated Cortex-M3 secure processor. The controller drives 16 NAND channels (8 chip-enables per channel) at 3600 MT/s, yielding raw bandwidth of 38.8 GB/s in 8-channel and 57.6 GB/s in 16-channel configurations — more than enough to saturate a PCIe 6.0 x4 link. It supports SLC, MLC, TLC, and QLC 3D NAND from multiple suppliers.
For reliability and security, the Bravera SC6 integrates 5 MB of embedded SRAM, a 64-bit DDR5 interface with ECC, Marvell's sixth-generation NANDEdge LDPC error correction, a hardware RAID engine, end-to-end data protection, and hardware-accelerated AES, SHA, RSA, and elliptic-curve cryptography. It is expected to begin sampling in Q4 2026, positioning it as a foundational building block for the wave of Gen6 enterprise SSDs that will move more AI KV-cache and vector-database workloads from high-bandwidth memory onto flash.
