Overview

The Kioxia CM10 Series is Kioxia's first PCIe Gen6 enterprise SSD, announced July 30, 2026. Built on the company's latest BiCS FLASH Generation 10 332-layer TLC technology, the CM10 represents a generational leap in both performance and power efficiency. Kioxia claims up to 92% higher sequential read and 85% higher random read performance compared to the previous-generation CM9 Series (BiCS Gen8), positioning the CM10 as a critical accelerator for data-intensive AI inference and enterprise workloads.

Available in E3.S, E1.S 9.5mm, and 2.5-inch form factors, the CM10 supports capacities from 1.6 TB to 61.44 TB across read-intensive (1 DWPD) and mixed-use (3 DWPD) endurance variants. A defining feature is the direct-cold-plate liquid cooling capability on E3.S and E1.S models — the second liquid-cooled enterprise SSD series in Kioxia's portfolio after the NX1 — enabling higher density deployments in AI server racks where traditional air cooling reaches its thermal limits.

The CM10 is compliant with NVMe 2.1, OCP Datacenter NVMe SSD Specification v2.7, and supports NVMe Flexible Data Placement (FDP). It is purpose-built for NVIDIA CMX architecture, which extends the GPU memory hierarchy with ultra-fast flash storage for AI context caching. Security features include SIE, SED, planned SED FIPS 140-3, post-quantum cryptography aligned with CNSA 2.0, and SPDM 1.4 attestation — making it one of the most future-proof enterprise SSDs for confidential computing and secure multi-tenant AI infrastructure. The CM10 is currently sampling to select customers and will be demonstrated at FMS 2026 in Santa Clara.
