Overview
The SilverStone RM44 (SST-RM44) is a 4U steel rackmount chassis built around space efficiency and liquid-cooling headroom. Its internal layout accepts SSI-EEB and SSI-CEB server boards as well as extended ATX, ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX platforms, so a single chassis part number covers everything from a multi-GPU workstation build to a compact edge inference node.
Accelerator capacity is the standout figure: the RM44 clears graphics cards up to 424 mm long when front fans and radiators are not fitted, and its expansion card retainer incorporates drive mounting holes so long cards are supported rather than left to sag. Eight PCI expansion slots accommodate multi-GPU and add-in-card configurations, while a front radiator position accepts 360 mm liquid-cooling units for CPU or hybrid GPU loops.
Cooling and power follow standard server practice. Three 120 mm front fan positions draw through a star-crossed ventilation pattern that keeps intake unobstructed, and two 80 mm rear fans are supplied pre-installed for a continuous front-to-back path. The chassis accepts PS2 (ATX), mini-redundant and 2U-redundant power supplies, includes a USB Type-C front-panel interface and an anti-theft lock, and can be deployed vertically in a rack or horizontally as a high-end workstation enclosure — with dedicated rail mounting holes for the optional SST-RMS05-22 slide rails.
