Overview
AcBel Polytech's CRPS line covers 800 W to over 3200 W in the common redundant power supply form factor, and the 2700 W and 3200 W members — catalogued as FSM005 and FSM010 — are the top of that ladder. They share the 185 mm x 73.5 mm x 40 mm envelope, so they drop into bays already tooled for the lower-wattage AcBel CRPS modules.
Efficiency is where the 3200 W part earns its place: 80 PLUS Titanium with better than 96 % at 50 % load, and a 10 ms hold-up time. On a four-way redundant 12.8 kW power shelf, the gap between a 96 % and a 94 % module is several hundred watts of heat that the rack's liquid or rear-door cooling has to absorb — which is why Titanium becomes the default as wattage and rack density climb. Input is 90-264 V AC plus 180-300 V DC, so the modules run on either an AC feed or a DC battery plant, and the high-wattage models use a C20 inlet.
Management is unusually broad for a PSU: SMBus 2.0, PMBus 1.2 and I²C up to 400 kHz are all supported, with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection and data logging, plus system power throttling so the BMC can cap draw during a brownout or thermal event. Hot-pluggable N+1 or N+N redundancy with fault logging makes module replacement a hot-swap operation. AcBel also builds the adjacent 33 kW Powershelf — a 1 RU, 50 VDC, six-module shelf at 97.5 % peak efficiency — for sites moving to 50 V rack distribution.
Key Benefits
3200 W in a CRPS-standard envelope for the highest-power single-bay designs. Greater than 96 % at 50 % load with 80 PLUS Titanium certification. SMBus 2.0, PMBus 1.2 and I²C cover every common BMC management path. AC and DC input means one module works on grid or battery plant. Power throttling and data logging give the BMC real control during fault conditions. One family from 800 W to 3200 W covers an entire server line.
Applications
AI and HPC rack power shelves; high-density multi-GPU server bays; storage array and JBOD power modules; networking and switching chassis; OCP-style hyperscale racks; telecom DC-powered central offices (180-300 V DC input); retrofit of existing AcBel CRPS bays to higher wattage.
