Overview
The Imperx Cheetah P67 line solves a specific problem: a machine vision camera that must survive washdown, dust, sand or weather without being hidden inside a separate enclosure. The camera body is IP67-rated, and Imperx supplies matched IP67 C-mount lens tubes in 44 mm and 64 mm inner diameters with an oleophobic coating on the front glass, so the whole optical path — not just the housing — is sealed.
Imaging performance is not traded away for that protection. The P67 family uses Sony Pregius global-shutter CMOS sensors with 3.45-micron pixels and 12-bit digitisation, covering roughly 3 MP to 31 MP and beyond. The 31 MP member pairs a 6464 x 4852 IMX342 sensor in APS-C optical format with 71 dB dynamic range, while the 20 MP C4410 and 17 MP widescreen C5410 cover 4/3-inch formats. Global shutter means no rolling-shutter skew on moving parts, which is the requirement for inspection on a live line.
Environmental tolerance is the other half of the specification. Operating range is -30 C to +75 C with testing to -40 C to +85 C, shock is rated to 20 G and vibration to 100 G, and control is entirely over GigE Vision with PoE — a single cable per camera carries data, trigger, control and power, up to IEEE 802.3at budgets.
Exposure runs from 30 microseconds to 16 seconds, gain is adjustable from 0 to 48 dB in 480 steps, and triggering supports external, pulse-generator and software sources with edge, pulse-width, delay, debounce and filter options.
