Overview
The Datalogic P2x Series is an industrial smart camera that keeps the entire inspection pipeline inside the camera housing. Image acquisition, processing and decision logic all run on the embedded processor, so a line controller only needs a digital handshake — this is what makes the family suitable for retrofits where adding a vision PC is impractical.
Configuration follows the same pattern across the range: choose a resolution (960 × 540, 1280 × 1024 or 1920 × 1080), pick a lens (integrated micro video lens or a C-mount optic in six focal lengths) and add internal LED illumination in red, white, IR or blue. Rotating connectors allow the camera to be mounted straight or at 90 degrees in tight machine frames.
The platform inherits its inspection tool set from the established P-Series: shape and edge tools, code reading, colour and presence checks. That lineage matters for existing users, because vision programs are portable across the compact-to-high-resolution models in the family.
Key Benefits
Embedded vision — no external PC keeps cabinet space and cost down. Resolution and lens flexibility from 960 × 540 to 1920 × 1080, C-mount or integrated optics. Integrated multi-colour illumination removes external lighting hardware. IP67 aluminium housing with sealed circular connectors for machine-side mounting.
Applications
Presence/absence and assembly verification, print and label inspection, code reading, part orientation and position feedback in packaging, automotive components, electronics assembly, food and beverage and pharmaceutical lines.
