Overview

The Balluff BVS family splits into 2D SmartCameras for presence, position and measurement tasks and 3D stereo cameras for robot guidance. The 2D SmartCamera IO model BVS SC-_1280Z00-07-000 pairs a 1/1.8 in. global-shutter sensor with a 1280 x 1024 px imager running at up to 60 Hz, packaged in a painted aluminium die-cast housing rated IP67 once the connectors and protection tube are fitted.

The 3D variants BVS 3D-RV0-0012VC-211104-001 (BVS0052) and BVS 3D-RV0-0012VG-311106-001 (BVS005F) use a 160 mm stereo baseline and a 1.2 MP imager, and ship with bin-picking and gripping-point tooling. Both are configured from Balluff BVS Cockpit, so vision jobs can be built and inspected without a separate SDK.
