Overview
LG Electronics' 1.4 MW CDU is part of the company's direct-to-chip (DTC) cooling lineup for data centers. The unit pairs a skived-fin cold-plate design with inverter-driven pumps and LG's own control and sensing stack, and it was featured at Data Center World 2026 as part of LG's AI data center thermal portfolio.
A CDU at this rating is sized for a row or a small hall of high-density AI racks. LG also offers a larger 2.6 MW unit, which has been qualified as an NVIDIA DSX Ready CDU — see the related products below.
Key Benefits
1.4 MW per unit, skived-fin cold plates for tighter thermal resistance, inverter-driven pumps for load-following efficiency, and integrated control and sensing for DCIM integration.
Applications
AI training halls, GPU rack rows above ~40 kW/rack, HPC clusters moving from air to direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
