Overview
The ARBOR AEC-2201 takes the AEC-2000 series box and builds camera and power distribution into it. The compute module is the same NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB used in the AEC-2001, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5, a 128 GB NVMe SSD in an M.2 M-Key socket expandable to 2 TB, and Ubuntu 22.04 with JetPack 6.2.
What changes is the I/O. The AEC-2201 carries four Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ ports rated IEEE 802.3at at 25.5 W over 48 V on RJ-45, so IP cameras can be powered directly from the box without separate injectors, alongside a fifth Gigabit Ethernet port. Four GMSL 1/2 inputs cover automotive-grade camera links. RS-232/422/485, a DB9 carrying 6-bit GPIO plus dedicated digital inputs and outputs, and a CAN 2.0 terminal block complete the field interfaces.
The chassis is 180 x 96 x 85.9 mm and weighs 2.0 kg, with a 12–54 V DC input that spans vehicle and industrial bus voltages, an operating range of –20 to 65 °C at 25 W TDP and IEC 60068-2-64 vibration qualification. ARBOR lists CE, FCC and pending EN50155 and EN50121-3-2 certification, which positions the box for rail and transport-adjacent deployments. Wireless options include an M.2 E-Key Wi-Fi socket and an M.2 B-Key 3042/3052 socket with SIM for 4G or 5G.
Key Benefits
Four IEEE 802.3at PoE+ Gigabit ports at 25.5 W power IP cameras without external injectors. Four GMSL 1/2 camera inputs plus one dedicated PoE LAN set support multi-camera machine vision from a single fanless box. 12–54 V DC input with EN50155 and EN50121-3-2 certification in progress suits rail and mobile platforms. M.2 B-Key with SIM for 4G/5G alongside M.2 E-Key Wi-Fi covers wireless backhaul. IEC 60068-2-64 vibration qualification and –20 to 65 °C operation handle transport environments.
Applications
Multi-camera machine vision, rolling-stock and rail-borne inspection, intelligent transportation systems, depot and trackside video analytics, AGV and vehicle perception, powered IP camera aggregation with on-box inference, and 5G-connected remote vision nodes.
