Overview
The Ubiquiti UniFi USW-Pro-XG-10-PoE is the rackmount step up from Ubiquiti's 8-port 10G PoE switch. Moving from desktop to 1U form factor bought two more copper ports and a larger PoE budget, which changes what the switch can actually do at the edge of a network.
All ten copper ports are 10Gbase-T and all are PoE-capable, delivering PoE+++ at 802.3bt Type 4 Class 8 — the highest standard PoE class, enough for high-draw access points, PTZ cameras and 10G PoE devices on a single cable. Two 10G SFP+ ports provide the uplink, so the switch presents twelve usable ports rather than the ten the name implies.
Management runs through the UniFi controller, and the front panel includes a 1.3-inch touchscreen for on-box status and AR-style switch management. It is the access layer in a network where the AI-relevant bandwidth — 400G and up — lives at the core and aggregation tiers.
