Overview
The QNAP QSW-M2130 series is a pair of 1U managed switches aimed at the unglamorous but high-volume job of wiring up an office or edge site: 2.5GbE at the access ports and 10GbE for the uplink, with a PoE variant for powered devices.
The family contains two switches. The QSW-M2130-2C2S26T is the straight managed switch; the QSW-M2130P-2C2S26T adds PoE. Both carry a fully web-manageable configuration and a dedicated RJ45 console port, so out-of-band access does not depend on the management stack coming up.
The design point that makes 2.5GbE practical is cabling: it runs on existing Cat5e runs, so an access layer can be upgraded without a re-cable. QNAP positions the series as both an access switch and a small aggregation switch, with 10GbE ports providing faster client connections or a backhaul toward the core.
