Overview
TeraHop's XPO family targets AI scale-up fabrics, where the number of accelerator-to-accelerator links — not switch radix — is the limiting factor. The 12.8T-8xDR8 XPO module is presented as an industry first, packing eight DR8 channels into a single external pluggable package.
The same portfolio includes a 6.4T-4xDR8 pluggable NPO module for higher-density scale-up, a 4x400G optical module demonstrating 400G-per-lane feasibility for 3.2T generations, and 1.6T-2xLR4 OSFP plus 800G-LR2 coherent-lite parts for scale-across links between AI data-centre buildings. TeraHop also demonstrates multicore-fibre (MCF) native transceivers and MEMS optical circuit switches for reconfigurable AI compute fabrics.
