Overview
The Celestica DS6000-series is the 1.6 terabit Ethernet generation of Celestica's AI-scale switch line, built on Broadcom's Tomahawk 6 silicon. The platform delivers up to 102.4 Tbps of non-blocking switching capacity across 64 ports of 1.6TbE in OSFP224 optics.
Two form factors cover the deployed rack estate: the air-cooled 3RU DS6000 for standard 19-inch racks, and the hybrid-cooled 2OU DS6001 for 21-inch Open Compute Project ORv3 environments. Both carry the same 102.4 Tbps switching capacity and port count, so the choice is a facility decision rather than a feature trade-off.
Architecturally the series targets AI back-end networks - the east-west fabric between GPU racks - and aligns with the Ultra Ethernet Consortium and the OCP Ethernet Scale-up Network (ESUN) specifications. That alignment matters for operators building back-ends that must interoperate across multiple switch vendors rather than remaining single-sourced.
