Overview
The Amprobe BAT-500 is an on-line battery impedance and capacity tester for batteries up to 500 Ah. It simultaneously measures battery internal resistance and DC voltage without taking the battery off-line, using a 1 kHz AC four-terminal (Kelvin) method for repeatable results.
A built-in comparator gives pass/fail indication and up to 9,600 data sets can be logged and downloaded to a PC, making the BAT-500 suitable for scheduled maintenance of UPS, telecom, substation and data-centre battery strings.
