Overview
The Quectel SRG091X and SRG093X are industrial AIoT modules built on NXP's i.MX 9 processor family, with the wireless subsystem integrated rather than added as a separate certified radio module. The onboard iW610G chipset provides Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and 802.15.4 concurrently, which is the combination required for a Matter border router - and because the radios are integrated and pre-certified, the design avoids the RF matching, coexistence testing and separate module approval steps that typically dominate a connected product schedule.
The two variants differ in compute rather than form factor. The SRG093X carries the i.MX 93 with two Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7 GHz, a Cortex-M33 real-time core at 250 MHz, 64KB L2 and 256KB L3 cache, and a 0.5 TOPS Arm Ethos-U65 microNPU that can handle always-on inference such as presence detection or anomaly screening. The SRG091X pairs down to a single Cortex-A55 at 1.4 GHz for cost-driven products that do not need local inference.
Both share the same 46 x 41.5 mm outline, dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, CAN-FD, SPI, UART, I2C/I3C, ADC, S/PDIF and RGB, LVDS or MIPI-DSI display outputs. That common footprint lets a single carrier design span entry and mid-tier products - useful for metering, EV charging and HMI lines where the same enclosure ships in several performance bands.
Key Benefits
Integrated Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and 802.15.4 tri-radio with no RF design work, Matter border router capable, 0.5 TOPS Ethos-U65 NPU on the SRG093X, and a shared 46 x 41.5 mm footprint across both variants.
Applications
Industrial HMI panels, IoT gateways and protocol converters, smart energy meters, EV charging controllers, POS terminals, smart speakers, smart doorbells and connected access control hardware.
