Overview
The Banana Pi BPI-M64 upgrades the H3-class platform to a 64-bit Allwinner A64: four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.2 GHz with a dual-core Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 2 GB of LPDDR3 and 8 GB of onboard eMMC, plus a full Gigabit Ethernet MAC and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Bluetooth 4.0.
A CSI camera connector, 1080p HDMI with multi-channel audio, an IR receiver and a 40-pin GPIO header cover typical media-player, thin-client and control-box roles. Note the HDMI output is limited to 1080p and the SoC has no H.265 hardware decode.
Key Benefits
64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU for modern Linux distributions. 2 GB LPDDR3 and 8 GB eMMC onboard. Full Gigabit Ethernet. Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth 4.0 integrated. 1080p HDMI with multi-channel audio and IR.
Applications
Media players and digital signage, thin clients, NAS and network-attached controller boards, domestic automation hubs and general-purpose 64-bit Linux single-board computing.
