Overview
The Banana Pi BPI-M2+ is the Gigabit-class member of the Allwinner H3 family: four Cortex-A7 cores with H.265/HEVC 4K decoding, 1 GB of DDR3 and 8 GB of onboard eMMC, plus a Gigabit Ethernet PHY and an SDIO Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module.
HDMI carries HDCP and CEC over a full-size connector and can drive simultaneously with the integrated CVBS output, which makes the board useful for legacy composite displays. A 40-pin header identical to the Raspberry Pi B+ layout accepts standard HATs.
Key Benefits
Gigabit Ethernet plus SDIO Wi-Fi and BT 4.0. 8 GB eMMC onboard. 4K H.265/HEVC hardware decode. HDMI with HDCP and CEC plus concurrent CVBS. 40-pin Raspberry Pi B+ compatible header.
Applications
Networked media centres, IP camera recorders, home and building automation hubs, network bridges and general 4K video playback endpoints.
