Overview

The Banana Pi BPI-M2 Pro moves up to the Amlogic S905X3, a quad-core Cortex-A55 running at 2.0 GHz with a Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. It pairs 2 GB of LPDDR4 with 16 GB of onboard eMMC and adds two USB 3.0 host ports alongside a micro-USB OTG port.

Networking is Gigabit Ethernet plus dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 through a Realtek RTL8821CU. The 65 x 65 mm board keeps the 40-pin Raspberry Pi-compatible header and adds an IR receiver.

Key Benefits

Cortex-A55 CPU at 2.0 GHz with Mali-G31 MP2. Two USB 3.0 host ports. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and BT 4.2. 16 GB eMMC plus microSD expansion. Gigabit Ethernet and 40-pin GPIO header.

Applications

Compact media and streaming boxes, network appliances, USB 3.0 storage front-ends, thin clients and general-purpose Linux/Android computing where USB 3.0 bandwidth matters.
