Overview
The Advantech AOM-2521 brings the NXP i.MX 95 processor family to the Open Standard Module (OSM) form factor. It shares the i.MX 95 multi-domain architecture with the SMARC AOM-5521 — six Arm Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz, dedicated Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M33 real-time cores, and an NPU rated up to 2 TOPS.
OSM targets compact, solder-down or connector-based designs where a standard module delivers the compute and the carrier board supplies the product-specific I/O. Advantech positions the AOM-2521 for real-time, low-power industrial edge applications alongside the AOM-5521.
Key Benefits
Open standard footprint. OSM gives a documented, supplier-independent module interface. Real-time and application cores. Cortex-A55 plus M7/M33 domains. On-module AI. A 2 TOPS NPU for lightweight edge inference.
Applications
Compact industrial controllers, embedded HMI, real-time edge AI sensors and low-power automation nodes built on an OSM carrier.
