Overview
The ADLINK LEC-IMX95 is a SMARC 2.2 short-size computer-on-module, 82 x 50 mm, built on NXP's i.MX 95 applications processor. ADLINK pairs it with the OSM-IMX95, an OSM R1.2 Size-L module measuring 45 x 45 mm and using a soldered-down single-sided PCB design for compact and rugged products. Both modules share the same silicon family and are positioned for scalable edge and IoT designs that need to move from prototype to volume production on a standard form factor.
The i.MX 95 brings six Cortex-A55 application cores plus dedicated Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M33 controllers, a Mali-G310 GPU, an integrated ISP and video processing unit, and an eIQ Neutron NPU rated at up to 2 TOPS. The dedicated M7 and M33 cores matter for industrial designs because they allow real-time control loops to run independently of the Linux application stack, while secure boot addresses the security requirements of deployed infrastructure.
What distinguishes the LEC-IMX95 from other i.MX 95 modules is networking headroom: alongside dual Gigabit Ethernet, ADLINK offers an optional 10GbE interface - unusual at this power class and useful for vision aggregation, transport infrastructure and edge gateways that feed cameras or backhaul over fibre. The range supports up to 8GB LPDDR4L and up to 256GB eMMC, and ADLINK pairs the modules with cost-effective carrier boards plus the I-Pi SMARC IMX95 development kit to keep both standard and low-volume production economical.
Key Benefits
Choice of two open standards - SMARC 2.2 at 82 x 50 mm or soldered-down OSM 1.2 Size-L at 45 x 45 mm; 2 TOPS eIQ Neutron NPU with Mali-G310 GPU, ISP and video processing unit; optional 10GbE alongside 2x GbE for bandwidth-heavy edge and transport designs; dedicated Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M33 real-time cores; secure boot and long-term software support from ADLINK and NXP; scalable carrier strategy covering standard and low-volume production.
Applications
Intelligent transport and smart traffic infrastructure, retail automation and kiosks, industrial automation and vision systems, edge AI gateways and vision aggregation, medical platforms, compact robotics, portable analysers, intelligent sensors.
