Overview

The Phison Pascari D206V is a read-intensive PCIe Gen5 data center SSD built to collapse storage footprint. A single U.2 drive holds up to 245.76 TB, so a handful of drives replace what previously needed a full shelf of lower-capacity SSDs — the rack-space, power and OPEX argument that AI data lakes and training-checkpoint tiers care about most.

Performance stays enterprise-grade at that density: up to 14 GB/s sequential read, 3,000K random-read IOPS and 110 µs read latency, delivered over PCIe Gen5 with NVMe 2.0 and dual-port support for high-availability paths. QLC NAND with a 0.3 DWPD endurance profile suits warm, read-dominated datasets rather than write-heavy journaling.

The D206V is the flagship of Phison's Pascari enterprise portfolio, which also spans the D205V at 122.88 TB (14.6 GB/s, 3,000K IOPS), the D201 at 12.8–15.36 TB for higher endurance, and the D200V high-capacity Gen5 line. QS Compute sources the full Pascari D-series plus server-side validation for GPU nodes.

Key Benefits

245.76 TB per U.2 drive slashes rack footprint and idle power versus multi-drive arrays. Full power-loss protection, AES-XTS 256-bit encryption and TCG Opal 2.0 meet data-center security requirements out of the box. Dual-port PCIe Gen5 enables redundant paths for always-on inference services, while NVMe-MI and sanitize support simplify fleet management and decommissioning.

Applications

AI and ML data lakes, training-checkpoint and dataset staging tiers, video-analytics retention, hyperscale warm storage, content delivery origins, and software-defined storage nodes where capacity-per-watt and capacity-per-rack-unit are the deciding metrics.
