Overview
The NEXCOM NDiS B340 is a fanless duro edge computer designed to be the affordable, expandable tier of NEXCOM's edge portfolio. It supports several Intel low-power platforms on the same design - Intel Atom x7433RE and x7213RE from the Amston Lake X series, plus Intel Processor N150 and N97 from Alder Lake-N - so a single product can be scaled up or down in compute without a board redesign. Memory runs to 16GB via one DDR5 SO-DIMM.
Its distinguishing feature is the DockInfinity expansion architecture. An optional DockInfinity-E4X1 module adds a half-length PCIe x4 slot that can accept a PoE card, a capture card, or a custom module, so the same base unit adapts to video capture, powered cameras or application-specific I/O. That flexibility is unusual at this size and price point, and NEXCOM frames it as a way for system integrators to simplify product planning and shorten time to market across several deployments from one platform.
Base I/O covers the requirements of an edge gateway rather than a general-purpose PC: dual HDMI 2.0 outputs driving 4K at 60Hz for multi-display signage, dual 2.5GbE LAN on Intel i226-V controllers for high-speed uplink and segmentation, and serial ports plus programmable GPIO for direct connection to legacy devices and sensors. A wide 12V to 24V DC input, wall-mount support, built-in TPM 2.0 and a hardware watchdog complete the industrial package, with a fanless metal chassis for continuous 24/7 duty in space-constrained and harsh environments.
