Overview
The Darveen MIC-9000 Series is a modular industrial computer designed around expansion rather than compromise. Its defining feature is a PCIe x16 slot that accepts a full-length, 300 W GPU measuring up to 60 mm wide and 330 mm long, with a PCIe x4 slot alongside it — which puts workstation-class AI acceleration inside a wall-mount industrial chassis rather than a rack server.
Compute comes from 14th, 13th or 12th Gen Intel Core i7, i5 or i3 processors at 65 W TDP on the Intel Q670 chipset, with up to 64 GB of DDR5 across two SO-DIMM sockets and Intel UHD Graphics 770 for display duties. Model variants differ mainly in I/O density: MIC-9002GLF carries three Intel Ethernet ports and two COM ports, while MIC-9102GLF adds six COM ports and five I210-AT LAN ports, and MIC-9402GLF focuses on four COM ports.
Storage is arranged for machine-vision duty: two M.2 2280 SATA slots for fast boot and working volumes, plus two removable 2.5 in drive bays that can be mirrored with RAID 1 so a vision dataset survives a drive failure. Wireless and cellular modules slot into dedicated M.2 E-Key and B-Key sockets with six SMA antenna feeds, and optional CAN 2.0B support connects the unit to vehicle and factory buses.
Key Benefits
300 W full-length GPU support in a modular industrial chassis. 14th to 12th Gen Intel Core on Q670 with up to 64 GB DDR5. RAID 0/1 removable storage for production vision data. Flexible I/O per variant — up to 6 COM, 6 LAN and 8 USB ports with Wi-Fi, 4G and 5G options.
Applications
Machine vision inspection cells, industrial IoT and factory automation gateways, edge AI inference with discrete GPU acceleration, and multi-camera vision stations on production lines.
