Overview

The Vecow SPC-8000 is an ultra-compact fanless smart engine built on Intel Processor N97 and N95 chips from the Alder Lake-N family. The headline number is the thermal design point: as low as 12W, which is what makes a sealed, fanless, ultra-compact enclosure possible in the first place. Vecow pairs the Intel silicon with the OpenVINO toolkit for AI acceleration, so inference can be quantised and dispatched to the integrated graphics and CPU without a discrete accelerator.

Connectivity is aimed squarely at AIoT rather than general computing: Time-Sensitive Networking support for deterministic industrial Ethernet traffic, and 5G for backhaul where no fixed line is available. That combination — deterministic local networking plus cellular uplink — covers the standard remote industrial site pattern where a small box must connect sensors and machines locally and forward results. The fanless design removes the main mechanical wear item and suits dusty or vibration-exposed installations.

The SPC-8000 was announced in January 2026 and fits below Vecow's Core Ultra based SPC-9000 in the same ultra-compact fanless family, giving a lower-cost, lower-power tier for deployments where 12W and OpenVINO-class inference are sufficient.
