Overview

The AOPEN DE5150 is an AI-ready industrial PC built for edge deployments where the workload is vision or interaction rather than batch compute. It combines an Intel Core Ultra processor with an integrated NPU rated at up to 92 TOPS, which is sufficient to run local inference for audience analytics, gesture and object recognition, or natural-language kiosk interaction without a discrete accelerator.

Graphics come from Intel Xe LPG+ silicon in the Arc 130T / 140T class, and the platform carries DDR5 memory plus dual HDMI 2.1 output. Two modern HDMI ports matter in this segment because self-service and signage installations are usually dual-screen — a customer-facing panel plus a secondary display or control surface.

AOPEN positions the DE5150 for smart retail, smart city and self-service, and its stable long-lifecycle platform is the reason it exists: retail and transit deployments need a fixed hardware target for five years or more, not a consumer mini PC that changes annually.

The sibling DEX5145 was AOPEN's first model with a dedicated Intel AI NPU and opened the vendor's generative-AI-at-the-edge line. Together the two cover installations that range from straightforward digital signage up to on-device inference at the point of interaction.
