Overview
The MSI IPC MS-C910E is a barebone Edge AI Box PC built for AI inference where the accelerator has to be a standard graphics card rather than an OAM module. It pairs an Intel R680E motherboard on an LGA 1700 socket - supporting Intel 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Core processors as well as Intel Core Processors Series 2 - with three PCIe 4.0 slots (x16, x8, x1) in a chassis large enough for two full-length graphics cards.
The power stage is the design's distinguishing feature for GPU work. A wide 12V to 48V DC input is rated to feed 1200W-class graphics cards, which is the difference between a general-purpose box PC and a system genuinely sized for modern dual-slot inference accelerators. Thermally, MSI fits a frontal smart fan and provides mounting for six more across the top and both sides, so dual-GPU loads can be sustained rather than thermally throttled.
For plant-floor integration the I/O list is unusually generous: eight USB-A ports at 10Gbps, four COM ports for legacy machinery, four 2.5GbE NICs for camera and network segmentation, 2x HDMI plus 2x DisplayPort for four independent display paths, and an 8-bit GPIO block rated 5-35V with 1.3KV isolation for direct sensor and relay wiring. Memory runs to 96GB of DDR5-5600 with ECC option across two SO-DIMMs, and storage combines an M.2 NVMe/SATA slot with two 2.5-inch SATA bays. It is sold barebones - CPU, RAM, storage and GPUs are specified separately - and the chassis measures 285 x 217 x 431.1 mm at 11 kg.
Key Benefits
Room for two full-length GPUs in one shock-proof box, a 12-48V DC input rated for 1200W-class graphics cards, up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 with ECC for reliable unattended operation, four 2.5GbE NICs plus four COM ports and isolated 8-bit GPIO for plant integration, and a smart-fan topology with seven fan positions so dual-GPU loads can be sustained.
Applications
Machine-vision inspection, factory and production automation, intelligent transportation and traffic management, industrial IoT gateways, security monitoring and access control, energy and utility control, and automated warehousing and logistics.
