Overview
The MediaTek Genio 360 and Genio 360P bring the Genio AIoT line into the cost-sensitive tier without dropping the accelerator. Both parts carry a MediaTek 8th-generation NPU built around the MDLA5.3 engine, documented at up to 5.1 TOPS of GenAI throughput on the hexa-core Genio 360 and up to 7.4 TOPS on the octa-core Genio 360P.
The CPU split is the main differentiator. Genio 360 (MT8366) uses one Cortex-A76 performance core with five Cortex-A55 efficiency cores; Genio 360P (MT8367) doubles the performance cluster to two Cortex-A76 cores with six A55 cores. Both run at up to 1.9 GHz industrial or 2.0 GHz commercial clocks, so thermal design rather than headline frequency separates an industrial design from a consumer one.
Integration targets embedded products that need displays and cameras rather than raw compute. There are two 4-lane MIPI DSI outputs plus a 4-lane DisplayPort or eDP interface for dual-display designs, two 4-lane MIPI CSI inputs, an ISP supporting 3A, noise reduction, AI face detection and lens shading up to 16MP at 30fps, Gigabit Ethernet with TSN, USB 3.1 and PCIe Gen2 x1. Optional Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 come from an MT6631N companion.
Key Benefits
Up to 7.4 TOPS GenAI NPU in a cost-sensitive tier, dual-display outputs via two MIPI DSI plus DP/eDP, Gigabit Ethernet with TSN for industrial networking, and industrial or commercial clock options from the same silicon.
Applications
Smart retail and POS terminals, digital signage players, industrial HMI panels, AI camera front ends, home and building automation hubs, and cost-optimised edge AI appliances.
