Overview
The SilverStone RM Series covers the two density extremes of rackmount building: the 1U RM100 for shallow, dense server and router builds, and the 3U RM31 and RM32 for multi-GPU and storage configurations that need eight expansion slots or long cards. All three are steel enclosures with front-to-rear airflow and rack-rail compatibility.
The RM100 is a 1U chassis measuring 438 x 44 x 394 mm and 7.60 litres, taking ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX boards with a PCB height under 36 mm. It fits one 3.5 inch internal drive and two 2.5 inch drives, cools with three included 40 mm front fans, and runs from either a 1U redundant or Flex power supply. For GPU work, removing the 2.5 inch drive bracket extends supported card length from 270 mm to 355 mm.
The RM31 is the multi-purpose 3U: SSI-EEB, SSI-CEB and Extended ATX motherboard support, eight expansion slots, expansion cards up to 458 mm, three 120 mm front fans with 240 mm or 360 mm radiator support, and a primary power slot that accepts either SFX/SFX-L or a 2U CRPS redundant supply. The RM32 keeps the 3U footprint but shifts to a riser layout for four slots and cards up to 360 mm, shipping with a PCIe 5.0 x16 riser cable - useful for GPU installations where the card sits away from the motherboard. Both share the same 438 x 132 x 488 mm, 28.21-litre enclosure and support RMS01 and RMS09-20 rail slides.
