Overview
The Chenbro RM41300 is a 4U rackmount chassis built for industrial and high-performance IPC duty rather than pure datacenter density. At roughly 21.5 inches deep it fits the shorter rack cabinets common in factory floors, test cells and mobile installations, where a full-depth datacenter chassis will not go.
Its defining mechanical features are the entirely isolated anti-vibration drive cages and the dedicated 80 mm hard-drive fan. Those two details make the RM41300 appropriate for platforms that see transport, machine-mounted vibration or continuous write workloads, and they are the reason it shows up in industrial IPC builds rather than only in storage servers.
The FS81 configuration carries up to 24 hot-swap 3.5-inch bays at 12 Gbps, 1.2 mm SGCC steel construction, a dust-proof front filter and a card retainer for both low-profile and full-height cards. An 8-slot upgrade path adds CRPS redundant power and support for two GPUs, which turns the same 4U enclosure into a compact dual-GPU edge inference platform.
Memory and storage sizing, board selection and power configuration are quoted per build. QS Compute supplies the chassis alone or as a configured 4U platform with board, CPU, memory, NVMe and GPU fitted.
Key Benefits
Short-depth 4U: fits industrial and mobile cabinets where full-depth chassis will not. Vibration-isolated cages: engineered for transport and machine-mounted applications. 24 hot-swap bays: 12 Gbps-capable capacity in a single 4U. Upgrade path to CRPS and dual GPU: redundant power and GPU-capable expansion in the same enclosure.
Applications
Industrial IPC and control-room 4U servers, machine-mounted or vehicle-transported compute, dual-GPU edge inference platforms, video analytics and NVR platforms, storage and JBOD-adjacent builds, test and measurement cells, and laboratory or research rack platforms where depth is constrained.
