Overview
The Norco RPC-470 is a 4U rackmount chassis built to the EIA RS-310C standard, with three 5.25-inch bays and ten 3.5-inch bays for a total of thirteen drive positions. Norco supplies 24 screwless drive rails so drives slide in without tools.
It is the budget-oriented companion to the better-known RPC-4224: rather than 24 hot-swap bays and a SAS backplane, the RPC-470 uses straightforward internal mounting, which keeps the cost low for storage, backup and lab servers that do not need front-loading trays.
