Overview
The InWin IW-RN424-04 packs two independent server nodes and twenty-four shared hot-swap drive bays into 4U. Each node has its own SAS4 backplane with a 32-lane expander reached over MCIO (8i), its own cooling group of four 60 x 38 mm 16,000 RPM fans, and its own seven low-profile PCIe slots.
Storage is SAS4 at 24 Gb/s across all twenty-four 2.5/3.5-inch trays, with two additional internal 7 mm SSD mounts per node. A pre-installed 80 PLUS Titanium CRPS supply delivers up to 2700 W. The dual-node layout is aimed at high-availability file servers, SDS nodes and virtualization clusters that want two hosts sharing one dense drive enclosure.
