Overview
The IcyDock ToughArmor MB607SP-B packs four 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs into one external 5.25-inch bay. The full-metal ToughArmor construction adds EMI shielding and mechanical stiffness over plastic mobile racks, which matters when the drives carry production data.
Drive heights from 7 mm to 15 mm are accepted, so enterprise 15 mm 2.5-inch units and thin 7 mm SSDs can be mixed. Drives are hot-swappable and eject independently, letting a failed disk be replaced in the field without powering down the host.
