Overview

Vision Components builds camera modules rather than finished cameras. A VC MIPI module is a sensor board with a CSI-2 output designed to be mounted inside the machine, connected to an NVIDIA Jetson or another embedded carrier through a short flex cable, and driven by the vendor's own drivers so the sensor behaves predictably on Linux.

The range covers the practical spread of embedded vision requirements: the IMX900 at 3.2 MP global shutter for robotics and barcode scanning, the IMX540 at 24.5 MP global shutter for high-resolution inspection, and the IMX990 / IMX991 SWIR modules for applications that need to see through or inside a product.

Because the modules are intended for series products, Vision Components emphasises long-term availability and offers customisation - adapting a standard module or developing a new camera around a customer-specified sensor - for OEMs whose imaging requirement does not match a catalogue part.

Key Benefits

Board-level modules that drop into OEM housings, supplied drivers for reliable Linux and Jetson operation, and long-term availability with a customisation path for sensors outside the standard range.

Applications

Embedded vision inside robotics and cobots, barcode and OCR scanning, automated optical inspection on embedded platforms, UAV and mobile imaging payloads, medical and laboratory instruments, and SWIR inspection for agriculture and recycling.
