Overview
The ST VD65G4 is the RGB Bayer color variant of the VDx5G4 ultracompact global-shutter family from the ST BrightSense portfolio. It delivers a 0.56 MP (804 x 704) color image on the same 2.16 µm BSI/CDTI, 3D-stacked global-shutter pixel with a 2.73 x 2.16 mm die and 1/9-inch optical format.
Like the monochrome VD55G4, it is optimized for always-on operation — consuming as little as 0.9 mW in wake-on-event mode and ≤ 35 mW streaming at 60 fps — with on-sensor automatic white balance, automatic exposure and statistics output over I3C/SPI, plus MIPI CSI-2 output.
Key Benefits
VD65G4 — color, in the smallest global-shutter form factor. Ultralow power, microcontroller-compatible, on-sensor auto white balance and statistics, event-driven wake-up.
Applications
Always-on color presence and vision, AR/VR pass-through and eye tracking, smart glasses, wearables, personal electronics and compact embedded machine vision.
