Overview
Pixelink's PL-X line takes the established 10GBASE-T machine-vision interface and adds packet resend to improve transmission reliability over long copper runs. The headline data rate is 9.6 Gbps, and power can come either from PoE or from a USB Type-C block supply depending on how the cell is wired.
10GigE cameras remove the frame grabber from the BOM, so the host needs only a 10GBASE-T port. That makes the PL-X line relevant for multi-camera inspection stations where per-camera cost and cabling simplicity matter more than the absolute peak of a CoaXPress design.
