Overview

The Allied Vision FXO 100GigE series is built on Sony's latest Pregius S global shutter sensors and pairs them with a 100GigE QSFP28 fiber interface with RDMA support. It removes the traditional trade-off between resolution and speed, delivering 24.5 MP imagery at 442.7 fps.

Because the link runs over single-mode fiber, cable lengths of up to 10 km are supported — allowing centralised compute rooms and flexible machine layouts without loss of bandwidth. The compact 58 × 58 × 101 mm housing makes the FXO one of the smallest cameras in its sensor class with a 100GigE interface.

The series shares the FXO platform with 10GigE, 25GigE and CoaXPress-12 variants, all using the same Sony Pregius S sensor family, so integrators can move between interfaces without changing optics or application software.

Key Benefits

4× the frame rate of previous 24 MP cameras in a compact 100GigE housing. QSFP28 fiber with RDMA delivers deterministic, low-latency streaming over runs up to 10 km, enabling centralised processing without a frame grabber. The integrated strobe controller simplifies high-speed illumination sync, and the shared FXO/Alvium software stack keeps integration effort low.

Applications

Semiconductor wafer and package inspection, high-throughput electronics and flat-panel display inspection, high-speed material sorting, and any line where 24 MP resolution must be captured at several hundred frames per second.
