Overview
The OMNIVISION OG12S10 is a 12-megapixel global-shutter CMOS image sensor with on-chip HDR, announced in October 2026 for factory automation and intelligent vision systems. A global shutter exposes every pixel simultaneously, eliminating the motion skew and rolling-shutter artefacts that distort fast-moving parts on a production line — the reason global shutter is standard for machine vision.
On-chip HDR lets the sensor capture both dark and bright regions of a scene in one exposure, which matters under mixed or uneven factory lighting. The OG12S10 is packaged in a ceramic land grid array (CLGA) and was slated for sampling in November 2026.
Key Benefits
12 MP global shutter · on-chip HDR · no motion skew on fast lines · CLGA package · sampling Nov 2026.
Applications
Factory-automation inspection, machine-vision metrology, robotic guidance and intelligent vision systems.
