Overview
Chromasens specialises in line-scan imaging where colour fidelity is the product. The allPIXA family uses trilinear and quadlinear CCD sensors with per-pixel measurement rather than interpolation, so each output pixel is a genuine red, green and blue sample - which is what colour-critical sorting, print inspection and surface grading actually require.
The range spans compact 4K CCD models up to the allPIXA evo 16k with a 16,384 x 4 line CMOS sensor on a CoaXPress link, and the allPIXA wave 15k which combines a 15,360 pixel quadlinear true-colour sensor with CMOS readout rates. For non-visible inspection, the allPIXA SWIR brings an uncooled InGaAs sensor with line rates up to 40 kHz.
The 3DPIXA pro dual 615 um combines 2D and 3D capture in one head with a 4.4 metre field of view, which removes the alignment problem of pairing a separate 3D sensor with a colour line-scan camera on the same web.
Key Benefits
Genuine per-pixel true colour with 3 x 14-bit conversion, real-time colour-space conversion to sRGB, AdobeRGB or CIE-L*a*b*, and integrated 2D and 3D in the 3DPIXA pro dual, eliminating a second sensor and its alignment error.
Applications
Web and roll-to-roll surface inspection, print and label verification, textile and nonwoven grading, food and agricultural sorting by colour, film and foil defect detection, glass and display inspection, and SWIR inspection of moisture, fill level and product contents.
