Overview

The Active Silicon Harrier 10x and Harrier 30x AF-Zoom GS are compact block cameras built around a 3 MP Sony Pregius S global shutter CMOS sensor. A global shutter reads every pixel at the same instant, so fast-moving subjects are captured without the skew and jello artefacts that rolling-shutter sensors produce - the reason these sensors are the default for machine vision on moving platforms.

The two models differ in optical zoom: 10x and 30x autofocus-zoom. Video output reaches Full HD at up to 1080p60, and the cameras expose LVDS, USB 3 (UVC), HDMI and Ethernet IP outputs so the same module can feed a low-latency embedded pipeline, a standard USB host, a display or an IP network stream. Active Silicon presented the pair at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart for UAV, ROV, robotics, inspection and remote-monitoring use.
