Overview

The Basler acA2440-75um is a 5 MP monochrome machine vision camera from the ace U family. It pairs a Sony IMX250LLR-C progressive-scan CMOS global-shutter sensor with a USB 3.0 interface, capturing 2464 x 2056 px at 75 fps at default settings while staying small enough (29 x 29 x 29 mm, under 80 g) to mount on a robot arm or a compact inspection head.

The 2/3 in sensor has 3.45 x 3.45 um pixels and an 11.1 mm effective diagonal, and resolution can be reduced through region-of-interest control to raise the frame rate further. Exposure is controllable through a hardware trigger, the camera API or free-run, and synchronisation supports both hardware and software triggers. The camera is USB3 Vision and GenICam compliant, so it works with the standard vision software ecosystem, and it is rated IP30 and carries CE, UL, RoHS and REACH conformity.
