Overview
The Wiwynn UMS100 is the control plane for a liquid-cooled AI rack rather than a cooling component itself. It manages the coolant loop - which in an NVL72-class rack carries roughly 120 kW of GPU and CPU heat - and exposes that loop to the data centre management system.
The controller is built on an OCP DC-SCM module in a 1+1 redundant configuration, so a controller failure does not take the cooling loop's telemetry or control offline. It presents both a Redfish API and a GUI, which means it integrates with existing DCIM/BMC automation rather than requiring a separate tool.
Leak detection and containment is the function buyers care about most: the UMS100 performs rapid leakage detection inside the rack and triggers containment. It also accepts direct connections from digital and analogue sensors or a PLC and speaks Modbus RTU/TCP, so it can drive or read third-party facility equipment alongside the rack's own CDU.
