Overview
Delta's 2,000 kW liquid-to-liquid CDU is one of two L2L units the company launched for AI data center cooling, announced at the OCP Global Summit 2025 alongside its high-voltage DC power distribution and networking lines. At 2 MW of cooling capacity per unit, it is intended for new-build AI halls rather than incremental retrofits.
In a liquid-to-liquid architecture the CDU rejects heat from the chip-level loop into a facility water loop, which lets the rack-side coolant stay clean and closely controlled. Delta positions the 2,000 kW unit as part of a complete AI data center portfolio that spans both 800 VDC and +/-400 VDC power architectures.
Key Benefits
2 MW of cooling per unit matches the densest AI halls. Liquid-to-liquid architecture isolates the rack loop from facility water. New-build focus suits greenfield AI data center design. Integrated portfolio with Delta power and networking.
Applications
New-build AI data centers, large GPU training halls, supercomputing facilities, and any deployment where facility water is available and rack power density rules out air cooling.
